**In order to tryout, all swimmers are REQUIRED to have their physical and online paperwork filed with the school in Rank One**

Tryout Dates

Monday, August 14th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Tuesday, August 15th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Swimmers MUST attend both days. Please expect to be there the entire time. Each day of tryouts will include 20 minutes of open warm up then the scheduled events. Each swimmer will swim each event to the best of their ability. Events will be run in the order below, with girls heats first, followed by boys heats. We will be using the full timing system. Results will be posted to Sports You the next day.

Monday, August 14th

50 Freestyle

200 IM

100 Breaststroke

100 Backstroke

Tuesday, August 15th

100 Freestyle

100 Butterfly

200 Freestyle

Swimmers need to bring the following to tryouts:

Swimsuit – one piece for girls/jammer or brief for boys

Goggles

Swim Cap (mandatory for girls, optional for boys)

Towel

JV and Varsity Teams will be posted on Wednesday, August 16th by 8:00am. Counselors will be informed of athlete placement, so schedules can be arranged as quickly as possible.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT TRYOUTS...

1) Tryouts will be held on August 14 and August 15, 2023 beginning at 3:00pm at the Morton Ranch High School Natatorium for all swimmers with completed Rank One forms.

2) First, swimmers will need to turn in their physical to Rank One and complete all Rank One forms before they are able to get in the water. If you don ’t have your physical completed (double check for parent and student signatures), YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRYOUT.

3) Try outs will be for ALL swimmers. Swimmers will warm up at 3:00pm. After warm-ups, swimmers will be put into heats based on their skill level/experience.

4) All swimmers must complete a 300 yard swim for warm-up for consideration.
